The World Health Organization (WHO) honored Bolivia's efforts to reduce child malnutrition where the burden has dropped from 23.2% to 8% in the past 8 years. Said to President Evo Morales was that this was history in the making. Bolivia is decreasing child malnutrition by promoting food security and acces to good drinking water as well as other local advances, for example a decline of newborn mortality.
