  PEOPLE OF BOLIVIA

Bolivia has multiple religions with the most dominant being Roman Catholic. This is because when spain took over the area they spread their faith of Roman Catholithism and it continued through the generations. More minor religionsinclude Evangelical and Pentecostal along with Protestant.

The main ethnic groups in Bolivia includes Mestizo, Quecha, Aymara, and White. These are the main ethnic groups because they are desendents of the indigenous people of Bolivia as well as the main races of people who settled in the area throughout history.

Treatment of Women

Although Bolivia's constitution takes into account women's rights, they still face discrimination and violence. Women have the primary responsibility of taking care of the children and accompanying them while they grow. Though education in valued, girls are less likely to complete their education than boys and almost half of all women in rural areas cannot read or write. Women usually are in charge of the house, kitchen, and household budget. Men are the ones who take public authority and women deal with domestic responsibilities.

Push And Pull Factors

Bolivia is a country with its share of issues. Push factors include lack of medical care, high paying jobs, violence against women, climate change, and poverty. Pull factors include oil, petroleum, and natural resources, as well as cheap farm space, lots of space, and independence. The effect on the net migration rate is that there are more people leaving than arriving because of the net migration rate of -.69. This is mainly because of the lack of medical care a poverty.
